Help elect Penny Hubble to Norfolk County Council
Penny was born in Norwich and educated at City College. Having gained IT qualifications she worked on projects at the John Innes Institute and the National Institute of Medical Research.
Penny is passionate about the environment and the need to increase biodiversity. With the experience of projects with Norfolk Wildlife Trust and Norwich Fringe, she is prepared to 'roll her sleeves up and get stuck in' with the community to improve some of Lakenham and Tuckswood's green spaces, by litter picking and tree planting.
Penny enjoys canvassing views of residents, as she says it is the only way to understand what changes residents want to see. In recent weeks she has heard concerns about poor housing and care provision for disabled people, the need for better and cheaper public transport and better support for those caring for others. These are some of the issues that a hardworking County Councillor for Lakenham and Tuckswood can make a difference to.
Penny opposed the Tory County Council's £2.9m expansion of their County Hall car park. She said "When so many other organisations are reducing the need to travel to work by car, the Tories are doing the opposite. I believe they should be leading the way in promoting sustainable transport with more walking, cycling and public transport. In doing so they would help the environment and help individuals keep healthy."
