Help elect Saul Penfold to Norfolk County Council
On 6th May, the people of Norfolk will get to decide who represents them on the County Council.
Married to Suzanne with three children and lives in Meeting Hill, Worstead, North Norfolk (have lived here since 2006)
All three children have been pupils at Worstead C of E Primary School and are now attending High School and College
A trained and experienced teacher in secondary History and RE (I taught at Fakenham High School and College), with a Masters
Degree in Museum and Heritage Studies
Head of Education at Norwich Cathedral for 9 years, 1999-2008, overseeing the expansion of the learning programme to national
significance, incorporating all ages and abilities, substantial partnership working throughout the city/county and a £10m
capital development project for new education and exhibition centre
My first novel, ‘The 3 Serpents of the North Door’ a time-travelling adventure story for children was published in May 2008
Now a freelance heritage and community learning, interpretation and funding specialist, advising a range of organisations
(community, cultural, heritage, environmental) on widening access and participation with a focus on learning and community
engagement

Excellent links and experience working with communities within North Norfolk and I am a passionate believer in local community
organisation and strength
I have been a Governor at Worstead C of E Primary School since 2008 and I am currently Vice-Chair of Governors, having
previously been its Chair of Governors for five years. I also Chair the School’s Values and Ethos Committee and very much enjoy my long standing association with the school
I am a regular volunteer at the annual Worstead Festival
I have been proud to represent the Worstead Ward as its District Councillor since February 2018 and currently Chair NNDC’s
‘Sustainable Communities Fund Grants Panel.’ This provides funding to community-based projects across North Norfolk which
help to make our communities healthier, happier and more sustainable places to live and work
It would be a great honour to serve the people of the North Walsham West & Erpingham Division as a member of Norfolk
County Council and I will do this to the very best of my abilities
