Public transport plays a vital role for communities across Norfolk and often proves to be a lifeline for vulnerable residents.
It's unforgivable that services have been cut back for many communities leaving residents stranded and cut off as a result.
If elected this May we will:
Build a Network of Park and Rides
By investing in a series of new out of town sites across the county to relieve congestion issues and give motorists the option to avoid central location parking charges.
Invest in Electric Shuttle Buses
By prioritising funds towards cleaner, greener modes of transport we will create a fleet of electric shuttle buses to take non-drivers and vulnerable residents to and from key facilities.
Support Community Car-sharing
By allowing for the expansion of demand responsive and community schemes. This will reduce congestion significantly and improve air quality.
Josie Ratcliffe, Liberal Democrat candidate for Downham Market says. "Communities like mine in Downham Market have suffered from years of Conservative cuts. It's time to bring back services and get people moving again."
